These six photographs are from Andra Chiru’s collection of works under the title ‘Through Time– Northstonia’ (2021). The photographs were taken in North London villages, namely Hampstead, Highgate, Alexandra Palace, and Muswell Hill.This selection of photographs traces some ways in which every village kept the same characteristics through time. The exclusive air, the melancholy, and the beauty of the history of every place can be felt even nowadays. Speaking of her work, Chiru said: ‘’ I was amazed, interested in how these villages can preserve their cultural heritage. Certainly, my feelings and emotions towards these places can be felt with nostalgia by those who look at the pictures and giving them the feeling of regaining a travel impulse from the present to the past century.''
